The State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania has purchased a border surveillance system for the Kapciamiescis section of the Varėnos Border Guard District, which, taking into account the peculiarities of the terrain, in all weather conditions in the Republic of Lithuania, continuously detects and records objects crossing and approaching the State Border, moving on the ground surface of the Border section, visually monitors the objects, and transmits the information to a command and control centre.
