Modernisation of the Medininkai Border Crossing Point

The Directorate of Border Crossing Infrastructure under the Ministry of Transport and Communications has successfully completed the modernisation of the largest Lithuanian-Belarusian road transport border crossing point in Medininkai in two stages.
Company Euroelektronika made a significant contribution to the upgrading of the electronic infrastructure of this border crossing point, including electronic engineering communications, traffic control and blocking systems, license plate recognition, weight in motion, variable information road signs and a modern security, perimeter protection and surveillance system. During implementation, the project was complemented by the installation of infrastructure for the European Union's entry-exit system for control of the movement of people from third countries.
It is important to note that all the upgrading works were carried out without closing the border post.
